A pedestrian was struck and killed by a train at Santa Fe Drive and Bayaud Avenue in the Baker neighborhood on Thursday, Denver police said in a tweet.
The light rail was shut down in both directions and eastbound road traffic on Bayaud was also closed at Santa Fe for several hours. RTD stated in a tweet that trains will begin resuming their normal posted scheduled over the next two hours, starting at 2:30 p.m.
Bayaud Crossing has also been reopened, RTD said, and bus shuttles will complete their last run to either Broadway or Osagage Station.
