Late in the first quarter on Sunday, Broncos quarterback Case Keenum connected on a 43-yard pass with Emmanuel Sanders against the Rams.
If it was 44 yards, it would’ve been a touchdown.
The officiating crew ruled Sanders was down due to contact at the 1-yard line. And then Sanders was charged with a taunting foul costing Denver 15 yards.
The Broncos settled for a field goal to cut the Rams’ lead to 6-3.
