9:30 a.m. — Roster moves
The Broncos filled the roster spot vacated by quarterback Chad Kelly by promoting receiver/returner Isaiah McKenzie from the practice squad.
Quarterback Garrett Grayson, the Colorado State alum, was signed to take McKenzie’s spot on the practice squad.
McKenzie was on the active roster for Week 1 (inactive) before he was waived and signed to the practice squad. He could be a candidate to return punts because receiver DaeSean Hamilton (MCL sprain) did not practice on Wednesday.
A third-round pick by New Orleans in 2015, Grayson finished last year on Atlanta’s practice squad and was in the Falcons’ camp this year until his Sept. 1 release. For now, the Broncos will carry two quarterbacks (Case Keenum and Kevin Hogan) on the active roster.
Grayson has not attempted a regular-season pass.
