Broncos linebacker on Thursday was named the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Month.
In five October games, the No. 5 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft tallied 5.5 sacks, 16 tackles, five tackles for a loss, 13 pressures, eight quarterback hits, one forced fumble and a pass defensed. His sack total for October was third in the league, behind Rams’ and Chiefs’ Dee Ford.
On the season, Chubb has recorded seven sacks, the most among rookies and second on Denver behind (8).
Chubb is the third Bronco player to win the award, joining Von Miller (November 2011) and D.J. Williams (December 2004).
