A crash involving a semi left 75 to 100 gallons of gasoline on the northbound lanes of Interstate 25 between Orchard Road and Belleview Avenue in Greenwood Village on Sunday evening, according to a South Metro Fire Rescue tweet.
The crash caused no injuries and crews were working to contain the spill.
South Metro Fire Rescue added that there was major damage to the semi, but no other vehicles were involved.
The northbound off-ramp at mile marker 199 to Belleview Avenue is closed, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. Delays are expected.
I-25 update – The northbound off ramp to Belleview is closed. Major damage to the semi, no other vehicles involved and no injuries. The SMFR Hazardous Materials Team is offloading all remaining fuel from the saddle tanks.
