Thornton police closed northbound Interstate 25 just before noon at 120th Avenue because of several car crashes.
Travelers are asked to exit at 136th or 120th avenues and go east to Washington Street. They could also go west to Huron Street and then north to 144th Avenue to get back on the highway, according to police.
UPDATE**** North bound I-25 will be closed at 120th Avenue due to multiple accidents. Please use alternate routes.
