
A trace of snow was recorded at Denver International Airport Thursday morning as freezing drizzle and snow fell along the Eastern Plains, forecasters say.
Lingering, scattered snow showers are expected in the mountains, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Patchy morning fog and cool temperatures are forecast in the Denver metro area. The high temperature is expected to reach 39 degrees.

A few days of sunshine and warmer temperatures are expected Friday and Saturday, the NWS says. The high on Friday will be around 44. On Saturday, the high temperature could reach 53 before a storm arrives.
A storm will sweep into Colorado on Saturday night.
By Veteran’s Day on Sunday, the chance of snow will be around 60 percent in the Denver area. The high will be in the upper 20s, according to the NWS.
