Ibrahim Amir Musa, 20, and Husham Al Kinani, 18, are being held on suspicion of first-degree murder and aggravated robbery, Denver police said in a news release Wednesday.

Police arrested Musa on Tuesday, though Kinani had been in police custody since Oct. 30 for investigation of unrelated incidents, Denver police spokesman Doug Schepman said.

Police believe Musa and Al Kinani robbed three people on Oct. 18 as the two men walked home. Kinani allegedly shot 25-year-old Thomas Steen during one of the robberies in the 100 block of North Bannock Street, just one block away from popular restaurants and bars, like Punch Bowl Social, on North Broadway.

Steen died at a local hospital.

Investigators believe that Musa and Kinani are the only suspects connected to the shooting, though police continue to investigate whether the two young men are connected to other recent crimes, Schepman said.
