Is it time for the Rockies to get with the times and update their uniforms?
The answer is yes, the time has come for the Rockies to update their uniforms and lose the Little League “Rockies” font.
The Rockies have made small tweaks to their uniforms over the years but nothing big like the Arizona Diamondbacks or the new look Miami Marlins. Change can be a good thing and new looks have helped some of the local teams around the state.
When it comes to local franchises here in Colorado, some have made improvements in the jersey department and others are due for a makeover.
Over the years the Broncos have made changes to their uniforms and fans always seem to approve of the new look. All we need now is the old Broncos “D” logo brought back. Many around apountry miss it. Remember, the Broncos changed their look and won back-to-back Super Bowl championships.
The Nuggets have changed colors over the years. The baby blues were hit or miss… folks either loved them or hated them. I was always a little old school and enjoyed the retro Alex English skyline jerseys. They most recently updated their look for this season when they put a modern spin on a classic look and it has been a hit around Lodo. Fans are enjoying the Mile High City blues but are thrilled to have the rainbow skyline back with the City Edition jersey.
An updated look down at 20th and Blake may not be a bad thing for a team looking to win its first division title. It’s not like we are asking for a new mascot… yet.
Sorry, Dinger.
