But can they land a health care deal?
Re: “Itap sky-high praise…” Nov. 15 news story
Itap nice to see DIA ranked best U.S. airport. I kind of hate it because of its huge size — it takes forever to get from landing to my car — but it works well enough. And it is actually cleaned.
There are numerous airports in the U.S. with narrow, jammed concourses and seats, if you could find one, so filthy you prefer to stand. I’d rather be stranded by delays at DIA than most places.
Just no more cost overruns, please. From near-disaster to No. 1 — just proves some things government can do. Private enterprise would never have got the place built. Health care is next?

No experience necessary?
Re: “In the White House, experience really does count,” Nov. 15 commentary
I believe itap a bit unfair to make the comparison of inexperience from Donald Trump to others who may be looking at a White House bid. Inexperience is one thing, incompetence and uncaring buffoonery is another.

McConnell is bigger threat
The most dangerous person to our democracy is not the man in the White House but the Senate majority leader, Mitch McConnell, who has done nothing but obstruct in his 10 year tenure. He now has the chutzpah to call for bipartisanship. What a hypocrite.
The latest is his decision to not bring a vote on protecting the Robert Mueller investigation. Where is Sen. Cory Gardner? Where is his voice? Does he blindly follow the whims of McConnell? Does he agree or disagree with this decision?

Unhappy about G-Line
It is aggravating to hear RTD’s G-Line whistle throughout the day. At least those of us in hearing distance don’t have to hear it 24/7 anymore and with our windows closed due to colder weather, itap not as loud.
For me, every time the whistle blows, it reminds me of how we in Wheat Ridge and Arvada were promised lite rail service commencing over two years ago. By the time the G-line is finally approved to carry riders, the equipment most likely will be worn out from months and months of testing.

Pardon a turkey
While President Donald Trump is pardoning two turkeys for Thanksgiving, every one of us can exercise that same presidential power by choosing a non-violent, meat-free Thanksgiving observance. And here are some other good reasons:
• You can brag about pardoning a turkey — like Trump (or not).
• You will stay awake for your entire favorite football game.
• Your sensible vegetarian kid won’t have to boycott the family dinner.
• Plant-based holiday roasts don’t have to carry government warning labels.
• Your body will appreciate a holiday from the fat, cholesterol and hormones.
• You won’t sweat the environment and food resources-devastation guilt trip.
• You won’t spend a sleepless night wondering how the turkey lived and died.
Seriously, this Thanksgiving, letap give thanks for our good fortune, health and happiness with a life-affirming, cruelty-free feast of plant-based holiday roast, vegetables, fruits and grains.
