A semi-truck hauling beer caught on fire in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70 near West 6th Avenue.
No injuries were reported in the incident, but the fire and cleanup slowed traffic in the area and caused delays, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

The incident happened at about 4 p.m., shutting down the right lane between C-470 and 6th Avenue. Cleanup, including removing the semi-truck and trailer, was ongoing into the night.

Investigators suspect rear brakes overheated, sparking the fire, which sent a plume of black smoke into the air.
