
Above average temperatures will stick around Tuesday for folks in metro Denver, while the mountains gear up for light snow later in the day.
Denver is expected to reach a high of 56 degrees today, according to the National Weather Service, with some cloud coverage and decent winds.
The mountains are expected to receive 2-5 inches of snow Tuesday evening into Wednesday morning, forecasters say.

But if you’re driving through there at night, prepare for hazardous road conditions, with winds reaching up to 55 mph over the passes.
Those blustery conditions are expected to make their way to Denver and the plains Wednesday, as mild temperatures continue throughout the week.
