A motorcyclist was killed and a passenger seriously injured after colliding with a truck Thursday morning at the intersection of Broadway and Iowa Avenue, Denver police said.
The motorcycle driver, an adult male, was headed southbound on Broadway at a high speed toward Iowa around 10:20 a.m. when he crashed into the back of the truck, which was making a left onto Iowa from Broadway, said Jay Cassilas, police spokesman.
The motorcyclist died at the scene.
The passenger, an adult female, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries, he said.
The intersection, initially closed, has been reopened.
