EAGLE — A Vail Valley teenager was killed Wednesday evening when the vehicle she was driving crashed and rolled on Interstate 70.

Megan Lodge, a 17-year-old Eagle Valley High School senior, was the sole occupant of the vehicle she was driving, according to the Colorado State Patrol.

At 6:10 p.m. Wednesday, Lodge was just east of Eagle, driving west on I-70 in a Toyota 4Runner. The vehicle left the westbound lane, crossed the median into the eastbound lane, and rolled.

Lodge was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The investigation showed she was not wearing a seatbelt, Cutler said. No other vehicles were involved, Cutler said.
