Two people were transported to a hospital following a shooting Monday afternoon near North Wheeling Street and 51st Avenue, according to Denver police.
The Denver Police Department initially tweeted that one of the victims sustained a gunshot wound. However, after further investigation, police said the incident appeared to be a physical altercation between two people and the injuries were not related to any shots that were fired.
The investigation is ongoing.
Police have not released any information about possible suspects. They closed Wheeling Street between 51st Avenue and Victor Way during the investigation at the scene.
