The Denver coroner’s office has confirmed that bull rider Mason Lowe died of blunt force trauma to the chest after he was stomped to death at the National Western Stock Show, authorities say.
At 10:03 p.m. Tuesday, medical personnel at Denver Health Medical Center called the coroner’s office and reported that the celebrated bull rider had been pronounced dead, according to a news release by Steven Castro, spokesman for the Denver Office of the Medical Center.
An autopsy was performed Wednesday on the 25-year-old man and confirmed that the cause of his death was from blunt force injuries to the chest, Castro’s news release says.
A bull named Hard Times bucked Lowe off and stomped on chest during a bull ride at the Denver Coliseum.
