A portion of C-470, eastbound lanes over Interstate 25 that connect to northbound E-470, will close at 11 p.m. Friday for emergency and safety repair work, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
“This closure is necessary to perform roadway maintenance and repair safety devices that have been damaged due to recent weather conditions,” CDOT said in a news release.
Drivers will detour the closure by exiting C-470 onto southbound I-25 and exiting at Lincoln Avenue. Take Lincoln east to northbound I-25 and take the highway ramp to northbound E-470. The detour, which will be marked, is about 4 miles. Driver should go slow and cautious through the cone zone.
The closure and detour is scheduled from 11 p.m. Friday to 2 a.m. Saturday, CDOT said. Construction activities are weather-dependent and subject to change.
