Southwesterly winds will bring mild temperatures into the Denver metro area this weekend before blustery, cool weather and snow arrive, forecasters say.
The high temperature on Saturday will be around 42 degrees, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder. It will be partly sunny during the day. Temperatures will drop to a low of about 25 degrees Saturday night.
Light snow is expected in the mountains on Saturday.

Sunday will be mostly sunny, with a high of 25 degrees, forecasters say. A storm will arrive in the Denver metro area late Sunday night. Snow will fall in some areas after 11 p.m., the NWS says. New snow of less than a half inch of accumulation is expected.
The chance for snow will increase to 40 percent Monday morning, mainly before 11 a.m. The high temperature will stay below freezing on Monday with a high of around 28 degrees. It will be blustery with winds gusts of 26 mph, the NWS says.
It will be mostly sunny after Monday.
Denver will warm up through next week with high temperatures climbing from around 39 degrees on Tuesday to 48 by Friday, the weather service says.
