Denverites will have unusually warm and breezy weather with temperatures climbing to the upper 50s Monday, forecasters say.

The high temperature in downtown Denver will be around 58 degrees, which is 12 degrees above what is normal for this time of the year, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.

Windy conditions are possible with gusts up to 24 mph.

Light snow is possible in the mountains with between 1 and 4 inches possible through Tuesday.

The skies over Denver will be mostly cloudy on Tuesday, with a high temperature of near 48 degrees, the NWS says.

Snow showers are expected in the Denver metro area on Wednesday, mainly between 11 a.m. and 11 p.m., forecasters say. It will be much cooler with a high of around 34 degrees, the NWS says.

Thursday will be very chilly with a high temperature of about 24 degrees. The low Thursday night will drop to about 10 degrees, the NWS says.

On Friday and the weekend, Denver will be sunny with temperatures in the low to mid-40s, forecasters say.
