The two people who died in a crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle on Saturday night at West Colfax Avenue and North Wolff Street have been identified.

According to a news release from the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner, 26-year-old Nicholas Tucker  and 27-year-old Hayley Sprow  died at the scene of the crash. The cause of their deaths has been determined to be blunt-force injuries.

Denver police responded to a crash involving a motorcycle and vehicle before 11 p.m. Saturday and closed Colfax Avenue in both directions between Winona Court and Xavier Street for more than seven hours. The road reopened at about 6:45 a.m. Sunday.

Denver police spokesman Jay Casillas said on Tuesday that the vehicle was driving eastbound on Colfax Avenue and was making a turn to drive northbound on Wolff Street.

As the vehicle turned, it hit a motorcycle, which had two people riding on it.

The two riders on the motorcycle were ejected, Casillas said.

Police don’t believe alcohol was a factor in the crash, but they are still investigating the cause, according to Casillas.
