Spring skiing is going to be a little more hoppy for fans of craft beer when 10 Barrel Brewing brings its new “Beercat” to three Colorado mountains in March.
The Beercat is a “mini-pub” that will make its way around eight western ski mountains on a snow cat. It will visit Aspen (March 15), Eldora (March 16-17) and Silverton (March 20) on a tour of the west that includes ski areas in Oregon, California and Idaho.
10 Barrel was born in Bend, Ore. It opened a popular brewpub in Denver’s RiNo district in 2016 and has other locations in Boise, Idaho, Portland, Ore., and San Diego. The Beercat was designed and built by California snowboarder Mike Basich, a professional snowboarder and tiny house builder.
