Another strong storm system will hit the Colorado Rockies Tuesday and before its over it could drop up to 16 more inches in the mountains, forecasters say.
On Tuesday and Wednesday, the storm will drop between 8 and 16 inches north of Rabbit Ears Pass. Between 4 and 10 inches of snow could fall south of the Rabbit Ears Pass, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
It could snow Wednesday night in Denver. There’s a 20 percent chance of snow, the NWS says.

Denver’s temperature will break above freezing Tuesday, but just barely. The high temperature will be around 33 degrees, the NWS says.
But with wind chill values, the air could feel as low as minus-4 degrees at times in Denver. The low temperature Tuesday night will be around 15 degrees.
Much warmer temperatures — above 50 degrees — are expected on Thursday, the weather service says.
Early Saturday morning, there is a chance for rain before 1 a.m., and then a slight chance for rain and snow showers between 1 and 2 a.m.
The temperature highs on the weekend will be 45 on both Saturday and Sunday, the NWS says.
