The National Weather Service in Boulder has declared a High Wind Warning for the foothills through noon Saturday. The plains will also be breezy, with gusts up to 45 mph.
Temperatures in metro Denver are expected to reach a high of 47 degrees.
In the mountains, forecasters are calling for light snow but not much accumulation.
Weather will stay moderate in Denver on Sunday, with partly sunny skies and a high of 42 degrees.
Strong and gusty winds will continue in the foothills through noon today with gusts to 75 mph. The plains will be breezy with gusts to 45 mph from the northwest. The mountains will see light snow and areas of blowing snow with little accumulation expected.
