Howard Schultz, former Starbucks CEO, visiting Colorado as he explores independent run for president

Potential candidate has events planned in Denver, Boulder and Colorado Springs

Former Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz will road-test his potential independent candidacy for president at a Denver town hall and events in other Colorado cities this week.

Schultz, who in January, has four events scheduled Thursday and Friday, according to an advisory put out by his office Tuesday.

His first event, at noon Thursday, is a town hall at Mile High Station, 2027 W. Colfax Ave. in Denver. The Greater Denver Town Hall is sponsored by the South Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce. Those interested in attending .

Later that afternoon, Schultz is set for a tour of the Techstars Boulder Accelerator, a startup incubator. His visit also will include a roundtable discussion with entrepreneurs and the organization’s founder.

On Friday, Schultz will head to the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, where he is set for an afternoon tour and a town hall event with Olympic athletes, according to the schedule.
