There was fringe. There were vibrant wigs. And there sure were flying dollar bills.
That was the scene inside the EXDO Center on Sunday, when Denver set the record for the largest drag brunch in the world during Denver Drag Days, hosted by popular LGBTQ club Tracks.
There were 338 people in attendance to be exact. The first-of-its kind record will become official when Guinness confirms it in a few months.
While no one from Guinness World Records was in attendance, the Tracks staff took an official count twice for the official submission process. Everyone who attended will be able to download a certificate that says they were there, according to spokesperson Sara Grossman.
The event kicked off Yaaas Queen Mimosa Hour at 10 a.m. — complete with a cherry garnish in each glass. The featured performers, including by Zarah, Sabrine Laurence, Damien D’Luxe and more, weren’t the only ones who showed up to slay in their animal prints and thigh-high boots. Attendees also dressed up in the spirit of the colorful event.
