One person was ejected from a vehicle, and another injured person was extricated from a vehicle early Tuesday morning following a three-car crash on Colorado 7 near Holly Street in Thornton, authorities said.
Thornton police have reopened Colorado 7 following a crash investigation and clean up.
A helicopter was called after one person was thrown from a vehicle during the chain-reaction crash, said Jesus Mendez, spokesman for the Thornton Police Department.

The crash happened at 5:39 a.m., Mendez. It’s unclear if anyone has been cited or arrested in connection to the crash, which remains under investigation, he said.
Brighton Fire Rescue crews used heavy equipment to free one injured person from a van. It took them about 25 minutes to free them.
One of the vehicles involved in the crash ended up on its side.

They were able to get someone out of the van and into a waiting ambulance. Highway 7 will be closed for most of the morning. 168th is the best alternate.
