Security personnel at Denver International Airport shut down screening gates and trains Wednesday night for about 20 minutes because of a safety concern.

Airport officials did not immediately provide further details after posting the security shutdown on Twitter at 7:22 p.m.

Officials described the stoppage and closures as temporary.

At 7:44 p.m. the airport announced that the “security concern has been resolved” and operations returned to normal. The airport did not specifically describe the concern.
