Three-vehicle crash in downtown Denver injures pedestrian; one driver flees the scene

A pedestrian was injured in a three-vehicle crash in downtown Denver, one block off the 16th Street Mall, on Friday night, and the driver of one vehicle involved fled the scene, police said.

A Medina Alert was issued for the driver who fled. The vehicle is described as a maroon 2006 Toyota pickup truck, Colorado plate BRI-869, police said.

The pedestrian was taken to Denver Health Medical Center with serious injuries, according to police.

The incident shut down 15th Street between Market and Blake streets.
