
Boulder County crews rescued a man who fell while climbing in Eldorado Canyon State Park on Thursday night.
According to a news release, the man was climbing the Red Garden Wall around 7:46 p.m. Thursday when he fell. Witnesses to the fall were able to guide rescue workers to the man.
“Due to the location and injuries to the climber, rescue personnel conducted a technical rescue to evacuate the injured climber,” the news release read. “This was a long and difficult rescue that took teamwork from multiple responding agencies to safely get the injured climber to advanced medical care.”
The climber, a man in his late 20s from the Boulder area, was transported by ambulance to a hospital. He suffered numerous serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office, Rocky Mountain Rescue and Rocky Mountain Fire all responded to the call.
