There is no doubt about it: Denver is an outdoor-based city. That shouldn’t change when you have kids. After all, studies tell us it is important to get our children outside. But it can be difficult when you are not sure where to go or which hikes are most appropriate for your family.
We’ve rounded up eight great hikes in Denver that we know your kids will love. Some have mellow terrain that is great for little legs, while others have fun features such as castles that will pique the interest of the most discerning of preteens. Take a look and grab your backpack, because hiking season is here.
(Editor’s note: Hiking distances are from each park’s website.)
