Two weeks ago, John Grant Jr. ended his retirement and announced his return to Major League Lacrosse. On Saturday, the Denver Outlaws’ attackman made history.
Grant, 44, scored a goal and two assists in Denver’s 18-16 win over Atlanta to move into in both regular and postseason play. He moved past Paul Rabil (596 points) to take over the top spot (598).

Grant retired in 2017 and has been serving as the Outlaws’ offensive coordinator ever since.
The defending champion Outlaws, who have won three of the last five Steinfeld Cups, improved to 2-1 after Saturday’s win over Atlanta.
