The Boulder County Coroner’s Office this weekend officially identified the man found dead on Longs Peak in Rocky Mountain National Park last month as 30-year-old New Jersey resident Ryan Albert.
It had been reported that officials believed that the body — of the 14,259-foot peak — to be Albertap. He was last seen alive in October.
He was found about 1,000 feet below a section of trail called the Ledges.
An examination of the body has been completed, Coroner Emma Hall stated in a news release, but his cause and manner of death are pending further investigation.
Albert was from Marlton, N.J.
