Aurora police redirected traffic on East 38th Avenue because of a gas line break Tuesday afternoon.
The road was closed from Tower Road to Windsor Drive in both directions for almost three hours on Tuesday. The road reopened around 3:20 p.m., police said on Twitter.
Due to a gas line break at 18901 E. 38th Ave., traffic on E. 38th Ave. from Tower Rd. to Windsor Dr. is shut down in both directions. Stay out of area. No ETA on reopening at this time.

A two-inch gas line was cut shortly before 12:30 p.m. at a construction site in the industrial area, said Aurora Fire Rescue spokeswoman Sherri-Jo Stowell.
No injuries were reported, Stowell said.
Crews from Xcel arrived at the site to clamp the gas line break and do mitigation work.
