Denver police closed a road in Denver’s Cole neighborhood to traffic early Wednesday morning as they investigated a shooting in the 1600 block of East Randolph Avenue.

Police responded to the report and found one person who was shot in the leg, police spokesman Kurt Barnes said. The person was taken to a hospital and the injuries were not life-threatening, Barnes said.

As police investigated the shooting, Bruce Randolph Avenue was closed between Franklin and Gilpin streets. Police said they do not yet have any suspect information about the shooter.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information becomes available.
