Denver is a mecca for outdoor activity and that certainly rings true for mountain biking. The surrounding foothills are crisscrossed with a multitude of trails that are fewer than two hours away, so the tougher decision comes when riders must choose from the veritable cornucopia of singletrack (a type of trail that is essentially as wide as a single bike tire, give or take) offered along the Front Range.

Whether you are a beginner rider looking to stretch your legs on some mellow dirt or an expert hoping to thrash your quads, you’ll find a trail here that allows you to bust out your bike and enjoy some Rocky Mountain air. Load up the snacks and point those tires west because shredding season is upon us.
