Celebrity chefs, winemakers from around the world and traveling foodies descended on Aspen over the weekend for the annual Food & Wine Classic.

Along with 5,000 attendees, the three-day event brings with it 10,000 bottles of wine and more than 100 chefs, winemakers and industry experts who gave talks and cooking demonstrations, as well as made appearances at parties around town throughout the weekend. (And celebrities, too: Hello, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom.)

Just over the mountain, Cochon555 brought its Heritage Fire event to Snowmass at the same time. Festival attendees there tasted Colorado chefs’ preparations of whole animals grilled over an open flame. And a handful of Denver restaurants set up booths, serving charred octopus, grilled duck and smoked swordfish, among other wood-fired treats.
