Police asking for public’s help in solving killing in Clayton neighborhood

The death of a man who was shot in Denver’s Clayton neighborhood on Tuesday has been ruled a homicide, according to a news release from the Denver Medical Examiner.

Jerrick Johnson, 58, was shot and killed in an alley of the 3600 block between Cook and Madison streets at about 2:30 a.m. on Tuesday, according to police. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene. The shooting was just north of the City of Nairobi Park.

Police are asking for the public’s help in investigating Johnson’s death. Anyone with information on the shooting, or on a suspect, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 (STOP).
