Police on Friday night collared a suspect in Vail who was allegedly armed.
BREAKING: law enforcement are currently on scene at the Marriott in Lionshead searching for an armed party. At this time (10:15 PM) there is no threat anywhere else. Please avoid the area; this is a rapidly-evolving situation.

A search of the suspect centered around the Vail Marriott Mountain Resort, 715 W. Lionshead Circle, police said.
Update 1030 PM: suspect in armed situation; knife recovered, unknown if he is armed with something else. If you see this person, do not approach and call 911. If you know who he is, call 911 and report.

A knife was recovered as part of the investigation. The suspect was taken into custody at about 10:33 p.m.
While the search was ongoing, police had asked people to avoid the area if possible.
