An unexpected rockfall has closed Boulder Canyon Drive until further notice.

A large rockfall during has closed Colo. 119 in both directions until further notice, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The rockfall is between the 39- and 40-mile markers of Boulder Canyon Drive, just east of Fourmile Canyon.
CDOT officials said crews are working to clear the road but do not know when the road will be reopened, and alternate routes are advised.
Traffic in the area was already limited due to the rock blasting, which takes place Monday through Thursday.
The road was closed for a rock slide .
