A man shot in west Denver on Wednesday afternoon boarded an RTD bus and rode for about 5 miles before police were notified of the shooting.
The shooting happened about 1:40 p.m. near the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard, said Doug Schepman, a police spokesman

After being shot, the man boarded an RTD bus and rode to the area of South Federal Boulevard and West Florida Avenue, about a 20-minute ride, when police were notified of the shooting, Schepman said.
Officers responded to Federal Boulevard and the man was taken by ambulance to a hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening. Police are investigating.
