Man, 27, pronounced dead at hospital after being pulled from Boulder Creek

A 27-year-old man was pulled from Boulder Creek in Boulder Canyon on Wednesday night and taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

About 6 p.m. the the sheriff’s office, Nederland police and fire, and Boulder County Open Space officers responded to the 32000 block of Boulder Canyon on a water rescue, according to a sheriff’s office news release.

The man was pulled from the creek “unconscious and not breathing,” the release said. Resuscitation efforts were performed, and the man was taken to Boulder Community Hospital.

The victim was not identified. There were no signs of foul play, the sheriff’s office said. An investigation is ongoing.
