How will Joe Flacco’s numbers look with the Broncos this season? If one oddsmaker is to be believed, he’ll be in the bottom 25% of NFL quarterbacks.
The Broncos starter has the fourth-worst odds, at 200-to-1, among the 32 players listed to earn the highest passer rating in the NFL. New Orleans’ Drew Brees is the favorite (3/2), followed by Kansas City’s Patrick Mahomes (3/1) and Green Bay’s Aaron Rodgers (4/1).
Flacco is also ranked 27th (125/1) to throw the most touchdowns. Mahomes, who threw 50 last year, is favored at 3/1.
One positive: He’s tied for 22nd (33/1) to throw the most number of interceptions. There’s a five-way tie for first (9/1) between Pittsburgh’s Ben Roethlisberger, Tampa Bay’s Jameis Winston, Arizona’s Kyler Murray, Chargers’ Philip Rivers and Jets’ Sam Darnold.
The Broncos’ pass rushers have a strong outlook. Von Miller is ranked fourth (13/2) to tally the most sacks. Teammate Bradley Chubb is ninth (16/1). Rams’ Aaron Donald is favored at 3/1. Denver players received no love for most tackles or most interceptions.
Other Broncos in the odds include:
- Phillip Lindsay was listed as 12th (25/1) for most yards from scrimmage, 22nd (25/1) for most rushing touchdowns, and 21st (40/1) for most rushing and receiving touchdowns.
- Emmanuel Sanders is 26th (80/1) for most receptions and 45th (100/1) for most receiving touchdowns.
- Courtland Sutton is also 45th for most receiving touchdowns.
