Adams County Sheriff’s officials say the Global Leadership Academy is safe after a thorough search following an undisclosed Safe2Tell tip, a sheriff’s office tweet said.
The school was placed on lockdown for several hours so that officers conduct a search inside the school, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies are directing students and staff to certain areas on campus during the searching/investigative process. PIO enroute to the scene.

Sheriff’s office tweets did not indicate what deputies were searching for, but the Safe2Tell program was created so students could report school threats.
School is in lockdown as deputies are searching. Again, traffic can reroute to Greenwood Blvd.
