
Friday in Denver will be slightly cooler than past days but still very warm, according to the National Weather Service in Boulder.
Highs in the mid-80s are expected with scattered storms possible, the NWS said. Gusty winds, hail and rain are also possible.

Looking ahead to the long holiday weekend, forecasters expect continued warm and mostly dry weather. Temperatures will exceed the seasonal average Saturday through Monday, according to the NWS.
The high temperature on Monday is expected to be in the mid-90s.
With warmer temperatures and lots of people exploring the outdoors, comes greater fire risk. There are in the central mountains and southeastern part of Colorado, and the state recommends you check with local agencies for a list of potential restrictions.
