Sangre de Cristo defeated Las Animas by a score of 42-26.
Zeb Stephens led Sangre de Cristo’s passing attack with 105 yards through the air. Stephens also added 43 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Sangre de Cristo’s leading receiver was Mario Enriquez, who caught seven passes for 110 yards and two scores.
Craig Ford spearheaded the Sangre de Cristo ground game by finishing with 102 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 5.7 yards per carry.
Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Sangre de Cristo hosting Sanford and Las Animas taking on Holly.
