Legacy narrowly lost to Eaglecrest in a 27-24 showdown on Friday, Sept. 20.

Max Marsh led Eaglecrest’s aerial attack with 247 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown without an interception. Marsh also added 82 yards on the ground. Marsh’s most prolific receiver in the game was Ty Robinson, who caught six passes for 106 yards. Elijah Hurd contributed in the passing game as well, snagging three passes for 64 yards. Eaglecrest also got 56 yards receiving from Mikelle Nash in the contest.

In addition to Marsh’s effort, David Creal lead the Eaglecrest rushing attack by accumulating 64 yards in the contest, averaging 7.1 yards per carry.

Lalo Hermosillo led Legacy’s passing attack with 202 yards through the air, tossing two touchdowns and two interception. Legacy’s leading receiver was Jaiden Peterson, who caught six passes for 63 yards and one score.

Braelon Tate spearheaded the Legacy ground game by gaining 182 yards and one touchdown in the contest, averaging 8.3 yards per carry. Tate also tacked on 33 receiving yards.

Looking ahead to their next games, Legacy will stay home and play Mountain Vista, while Eaglecrest will travel to play Arvada West.
