Thornton couldn’t quite keep up with a potent Heritage squad, losing by a score of 49-0 on Friday, Sept. 20.

Heritage quarterback Conner Cummiskey led the passing attack with 302 yards through the air, throwing four touchdowns and one interception. Cummiskey also added 36 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Heritage’s leading receiver was Erik Olsen, who caught five passes for 102 yards and two scores. Terrance Ferguson contributed in the passing game as well, reeling in three balls for 64 yards and one touchdown. Heritage also got 55 yards receiving and one touchdown from Doug Moore in the contest.

Conner Cummiskey paced the Heritage ground attack by running for 36 yards and one touchdown in the game, averaging 7.2 yards per carry.

Thornton’s ground attack was lead by Jaheim Young and his 16 yards on four carries.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Heritage hosting Liberty and Thornton taking on Littleton.
