Rye won by just a single point over Rocky Ford on Friday, Sept. 20.

Hayden Polk spearheaded the Rye ground game by gaining 72 yards in the contest, averaging 8 yards per carry.

Rocky Ford quarterback Isiah Garcia led the passing attack with 98 yards through the air, tossing one touchdown and two interceptions. Garcia also added 42 yards and one touchdown on the ground. Isiah Garcia’s favorite target in the game was Jadon Baldonado, who caught four passes for 54 yards and one score.

Rocky Ford’s rushing game was lead by Chance Finch who accrued 72 yards in the contest, averaging 5.5 yards per carry.

Both teams will stay at home in their next contest, with Rye hosting Florence and Rocky Ford taking on Monte Vista.
