Ridge View Academy couldn’t quite keep up with a strong Bennett squad, losing by a score of 46-18 on Saturday, Sept. 21.
Mikey Babi powered Bennett’s passing attack with 59 yards through the air. Babi also added one touchdown on the ground. Jordan Despues was also Bennett’s leading receiver on the day.
Mac Copeland lead the Bennett ground attack by racking up 172 yards and two touchdowns in the contest, averaging 11.5 yards per carry. Despues added 54 yards and one touchdown on the ground, averaging 6.8 yards per carry, as well as 34 receiving yards.
Both teams will go on the road in their next contest, with Bennett heading to play Delta and Ridge View Academy taking on Kent Denver.
