One person died and another was taken to a local hospital Monday night as deputies in Adams County responded to a reported home invasion.
The incident happened in the 3400 block of West 67th Avenue, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded to a 911 call of a reported gunshot wound, the sheriff’s office said in a press release, and found two male adults with gunshot wounds. One of the victims was “determined to be deceased in the residence,” and another victim was taken to a hospital with a gunshot wound, the release stated.

The sheriff’s office said the investigation was ongoing, but that detectives didn’t think there was an active safety concern to the public. No suspect information was released.
